What Is A Winged Sciurus?

A Winged Sciurus (Pronounced "Winged Sear-Us") [plural "Sciuri"] is an original species created by Omnom Squirrel that branches from the Sciurus (Squirrel) species itself.

Though the Winged Sciurus is much like a flying squirrel, it also differentiates in several ways such as the membrane that is connected from its underarms and mid to lower thighs and its cat-like facial features.

With evolution, the Sciuri have developed feathered membranes that work with aerodynamics more efficiently than a furred membrane would; allowing it to actually fly, rather than just glide a long distance.

The Winged Sciuri are also normally known to be tiny in size, and their coats are capable of changing colors according to the season and climate!

The name “Squirrel” when referring to a Sciurus is more of a nickname for Omnom that existed back before the design of the Sciurus species. (His original fursona was a flying squirrel)!
